Large Ojai Pixie Tangerines: Ojai Pixie Tangerines are our specialty!

These are our larger sized Ojai Pixie tangerines.  They are not as common on the trees as small fruit, but just as juicy, always seedless and so sweet!  These bigger Ojai Pixies are easier to peel and their peel comes off in one piece.   We recommend these larger fruits for less nimble hands, such as perhaps your grandma or grandpa who may not have been given a yummy treat in a while?  These Ojai Pixies are easy to break into segments once peeled, so they are great for adding to salads and garnishing desserts.

We have been growing Ojai Pixies for over 40 years and still think they are the best tangerines on this planet!   Ojai Pixies make a perfect lunch box fruit, great for having in your purse or backpack; their sturdy skin will hold up well to being taken out of the house for a snack-on-the-go.  The low acid content of pixies makes them ideal for all ages to enjoy.

Liddle Ojai Pixie Tangerines: By far the most popular item we ship!

We have renamed our small size fruit to reflect what kids say “liddle”; meaning small, petite, little.  These liddle fruits are so popular with kids; their size is just right for small hands who can peel and gobble them up!  Ojai Pixie tangerines are Sweet, Petite and Great to Eat!

Ship a large box to your favorite child or grandchild’s daycare center or classroom– this is a gift they won’t forget! We have been growing Ojai Pixies since 1970. They are wonderful seedless springtime treats for anyone to look forward to; kids of all ages just love them in part because of their low acid content which makes them extra sweet. These liddle fruits make a perfect gift for any age, but especially popular among families.  Ojai Pixies make a great lunch box fruit, great for having in your purse or backpack.

Ojai Valencia oranges are world renowned for being really flavorful and juicy.  We will fill one our mail order boxes with freshly picked Ojai Valencia oranges from our East end orchards.  Our Valencias are picked the same day they are shipped, so they will arrive to you as fresh as possible.  This is a great box to share at the office, with your children”s teachers or simply to covet for your own family.

Please choose box size: A standard mail order box contains approximately 9 pounds of Valencias (20-27 pieces of fruit) or 20 pounds of Ojai Valencias (approximately 50-60 pieces of fruit)

Availability: As our tangerine season progresses we will be offering more boxes of seasonal tangerines; W. Murcotts in February, Ojai Pixies in March, Yosemite Golds in April, etc. We just have to wait and see what the weather does and when varieties come into season.

Over the course of the spring mail order season this is our most popular box.  Nothing fancy, no special box, tissue paper or wrapping.  We are trying to keep life simple but offer really great tasting Ojai citrus to you at an affordable cost.  Fruit selection will vary weekly depending upon what we feel tastes best.  You will get a spread of Ojai oranges and tangerines with an Ojai Avocado and Lemon or two.  Exact varieties will depend on availability dictated by weather.  All of our fruit is grown on our own farm and we grow for flavor!

When we ordered our new mail order boxes and upgraded our shipping options some of our die-hard mail order customers moaned– some of you just want your Ojai citrus fix at an economical rate.  So, here we have kept the Plain Jane: shipped in a USPS flatrate box, filled with what we want to send you (no special requests please) and to your mailbox via priority mail flat rate shipping.  The packaging may be plain but the fruit is all first rate!

We will ship orders once the fruit is ripe to our standards (if Mother Nature cooperates we will ship our first orders January 21st).
