Seville oranges: inedible unless cooked-- bitter and sour!
The marmalade oranges

Our Seville orange trees were planted by family members many decades ago for making marmalade for household consumption.  In recent years interest in their use has become popular as people are back in the kitchen cooking.  We enjoying hearing about the wonderful things people cook up with our Seville oranges.

Sevilles are sour, somewhat bitter and inedible and not juicy.  You cannot eat them as is.   They are a key ingredient in some interesting recipes.  Sevilles are typically used to make marmalade.  Sevilles are also used in Cuban and Caribbean cooking-- pulled pork, pork pibil and slow-cooked chicken; imparting a rich citrusy flavor. They can be candied for use in desserts, cooked and strained for cocktail additives and more.

We will fill a box of Sevilles-- approx 30 oranges or 8 pounds of fruit. $38+ shipping
